Highlights

The Department has 30 faculty members, of which 3 are Ph.D. holders, one has submitted his thesis and 12 faculty members are doing Ph.D.
The Head of the Department Prof. K. Sathiyasekar presented his research paper at the International Conference conducted in Berlin, Germany during June 23- 25, 2010.
An International conference on Recent Advancements in Electrical Sciences was conducted, jointly with the Department of ECE during January 2010 with the support of IEEE Madras section, CSIR and IETE.
AICTE sponsored Faculty Development programme on Recent Trends in Micro Electronics & MEMS was conducted for 2 weeks during 2007 – 2008.
A National Technical symposium GRID’09 was organized during 18th & 19th September 2009.
Two value added courses namely Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) & SCADA and Electrical-CAD was conducted during academic year 2009-10.
Gust lectures and National conference were organized through IEEE students Branch.
Our Department students got best out going student award at college level for the academic years 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2008-09.
