The motto of the Computer Applications Association is to enhance the soft skills of the students so as to meet the requirements of IT companies. All the students of Master of Computer Applications are members of the Computer Applications Association, which organizes regular lecture meetings and training programmes and technical events. Eminent people in the IT field are invited to these meetings. In addition, the association organizes a national level meet ZELOS every year, in which post graduate students of Computer Science and Computer Applications from all over the country participate in large number. The aim and objectives of the CAA are: 1. To foster and maintain an atmosphere of confidence. 2. Exposing the talents of young minds 3. Molding the students to bang the challenges 4.Empowering the leadership quality ZELOS The Computer Applications Association of KSR College of Engineering proudly hosts its National Level Technical Symposium-ZELOS, every year that primely aims at enriching the knowledge of students and to bring emerging and new technologies to light. ZELOS is an inter-collegiate competition which attracts nearly 200 students from all over India and hosts papers and software presentations. The association has been successfully conducting the symposium since 2008. This symposium is aimed at testing the technical, presentation and managerial skills of students by conducting various events such as Paper Presentation, Multimedia presentation, Quiz, Marketing, and Debugging. Every year an eminent personality from a widely addressed software firm addresses the function. Zelos'09 The Computer Applications Association of KSR College of Engineering proudly hosts its National Level Technical Symposium-ZELOS'09 on 11th September, 2009.Chairman, KSR Educational Institutions, Lion.Dr.K.S.Rangasamy MJF. Addressed the gathering with his valuable presence and Inaugurated the technical symposium. Dr.N.Rengarajan, Pricipal presided and delivered the presidential address.
The Chief Guest of the event, Mr.T.Prasana, Project Manager, TCS, Bangalore delivered a special and inspired talk on Emerging Trends and Demands in IT.In this symposium various events such as Paper Presentation, Multimedia presentation, Quiz, Marketing, and Debugging were organized, in this nearly 175 students from 70 colleges participated. The winners and runners were awarded the cash prize during the valedictory function of the same day. |
EICA'10The Department of Computer Applications have organized a one-day National Conference on Emerging Issues in Computer Applications on 20th Feb 2010.Around 65 members including faculty members,research scholars and students from various Institutions within and outside Tamilnadu have attended the conference.The conference was aimed to provide a forum to discuss and dissiminate the recent research activities in the field of computer applications. Dr.C.Kavitha, Prof&Head welcomed the gathering.Dr.N.M.Elango,Professor /MCA summarized the theme of the conference.The conference was inaugurated by Dr.C.Ramesh,Senior(R&D)Engineer-Airvana Network India Private Ltd,Bangalore,and released the proceedings of the conference.He presented an idea about methodology to do research and update knowledge in current development in Computer Applications. Lion.Dr.K.S.Rangasamy,MJF Founder and President, K.S.R Educational Institutions delivered presidential address and advised the participants the importance of knowledge updations.The Principal,Dr.N.Rengarajan encouraged the delegates to participate in more number of conferences like this. Dr.A.Krishnan Dean and Dr.K.Kaliannan, Vice Principal graced the occassion. The Technical session were chaired by Dr.M.Usha Prof&Head/MCA,Sona College of Technology,and Dr.R.Rajesh AP/CSE,Bharathiar University-Coimbatore,delivered talk on Research issues in Wireless Sensor Networks and Soft Computing respectively.
