MCA Department was established in the year 2003 with a sanctioned strength of 60 affliated to Anna University, Chennai.

2005 - 2006

• First Batch of Computer Applications post-graduates left the campus with a Pass Percentage of 100% and 90% of Placement percentage.
• MCA department moved to the new and well furnished block with Computers of the latest configurations.

2006 - 2007

• MCA Department got recognition for guiding Ph.D scholars under part-time scheme for Anna University, Coimbatore.
• The department got an ISBN number and released the First Issue of the Journal, ‘Journal of Computer Applications.’
• Second Batch of Computer Applications post-graduates left the institution with a pass percentage of 100% and 97% placement percentage.

2007 - 2008

• MCA got an additional increase in intake to the strength of 120.

2008 - 2009

• 19th July,  the department conducted the National Conference on “Emerging Issues in Computer Applications “, which was chaired by Dr. T.Kannadasan, Director, Research, Anna University,Coimbatore.
• On 07th September 2008, the department organized a National Level Technical Symposium for students; nearly 500 students from 30 Engineering Colleges took part in various technical events.
• During October 2008, S.Sangeetha secured the 41st Rank among the students of Anna University, Chennai.
• During May 2009. T.J.B Durga Devi Secured 3rd Rank among the students of Anna University Chennai.

2009 - 2010

• On 11th September 2009, the department conducted the National Level Technical Symposium "ZELOS'09"
• On 31st October 2009, the department organized the Parent's Teacher's Meeting.
• On 20th February 2010, the department conducted the 2nd National Conference on "Emerging Issues in Computer Applications".
• On 20th February 2010, the inception of Center of Excellence "Soft Computing" was done with the Guest Lecture on "Soft Computing" delivered by Dr.R.Rajesh, Asst.Prof. School of Computer  Science, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

2010 - 2011

• On 21st August 2010, the Computer Applications Association was inaugurated and the chief guest Mr.T.P.SenthilKumar, Director, FACE Academy, Coimbatore given a thought provoking talk on "Opportunities and Challenges".
